LOA: Letter of Authorization ip announcement and/or acceptance Print

  • 11

HostSlim is able to announce and/or accept your private IPv4 and IPv6 AS numbers and subnets under the HostSlim ASN (AS207083). HostSlim will ONLY announce with a signed LOA.

  • If you want us to announce your ip subnets on the HostSlim ASN, we need a LOA with the subnets you want us to announce. This is a free service.

  • If you are running your own ASN on your own router or GRE tunnel behind the HostSlim network, we need a LOA with only your ASN. This is also a free service.

Below an example of what you can use as a template.

To whom it may concern,

This letter serves as authorization for HostSlim B.V. with AS207083 to advertise the following IP address blocks:

As a representative of the company [COMPANY] that is owner of the subnet and/or ASN, I hereby declaring that I'm authorized by to represent and sign for this LOA.

Ripe justifications

  • When your ip space is registerd at Ripe, and you want HostSlim to announce it by its routers, HostSlim will need to make an route object in the Ripe database. To do that, in the Ripe database you need to add "hostslim-nl-1-mnt" as "mnt-routes". Only with this set, HostSlim is able to add the route object on your ip space.
  • When your ip space or ASN is registerd at Ripe, and you want to announce it by your own router under your own (main) ASN, HostSlim will add the import and export settings in the Ripe databese.
